Frequently asked questions
Everything renters typically want to know before booking.
What is an Emotional Support Animal (ESA)?+
An ESA is an animal that provides therapeutic benefit to a person with a diagnosed mental health condition. ESAs may be considered for housing accommodations under the Fair Housing Act when documented by a licensed professional.
Do you guarantee I will be approved?+
No. ESA evaluations are completed by licensed professionals. Approval is based on clinical review and individual eligibility. We do not guarantee approval — if you are not eligible, your provider will tell you.
How do I book?+
Click Book Evaluation and fill out a short questionnaire. We'll match you with a Florida-licensed provider and send you their secure booking link to pick a time. PupPass currently serves Florida residents only.
How much does an evaluation cost?+
$149, flat. You can pay it upfront or choose our payment plan: $50 to get started plus $25/month for 5 months. Every evaluation is backed by our 100% money-back guarantee.
Is there really a 100% money-back guarantee?+
Yes. If you're not approved for an ESA letter, we refund you in full. If you're approved, your payment covers the evaluation. Details are in How It Works.
What happens during the evaluation?+
You'll have a confidential conversation with your licensed provider, who will assess your individual situation and determine whether an ESA is clinically appropriate.
Is PupPass a clinic?+
No. We connect Florida renters with independent licensed professionals. All clinical decisions are made by your provider.
Do you offer refunds?+
Yes — we offer a 100% money-back guarantee. If you aren't approved, you get a full refund.
